My well established client are seeking to recruit an experienced web editor to develop and manage the content, of there website and intranet, and plan and oversee their structure, navigation and style to ensure an optimum user experience and strategic focus. Your will have a degree or equivalent in an appropriate subject, and will have experience of writing and editing web content, for a professional audience. As well as excellent writing and proof reading skills, you will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of grammar and punctuation. You will be confident in negotiating with staff at all levels, with the ability to be firm when necessary. A key part of the role will be to write engaging original content, and edit and approve content produced by departmental editors for the website and intranet. You will also review and suggest improvements to structure and navigation of website and intranet to meet customer needs, which in the future could include the development of personalised site views. You will have a good knowledge of website design and navigation issues , together with the ability to work with staff throughout the organisation, which will call for tact and diplomacy.
