DESSAU is currently looking for a Programmer to join the team at the Ottawa office.
Specific Duties:
- Following the client's instructions, design, prototype and productise applications related to the client's needs;
- Provide advice and recommend solutions to client;
- Analyze and develop strategies that fulfil client's needs;
- Define constraints and/or issues impacting recommended changes;
- Identify process options to minimize risk.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer engineering;
- Computer science or related combination of experience and education;
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience;
- Security clearance an important asset;
- Bilingual French/English desirable.
Desirable knowledge:
- OS: Debian-based Linux, Red-Hat-based Linux, OpenWRT / DD-WRT and other custom Linux environments, Microsoft Windows;
- Environments: Cygwin, gcc, makefiles, VS.NET (2003, 2005, 2008 and express edition) and VS.NET command line compilers;
- Languages: C/C++, C#; Java;
- Scripting languages: Bash, TCL/Tk, Perl, Python, etc;
- Other: Encryption package tools (GPG / PGP, bestcrypt, etc.), Truecrypt, WiFi and networks, traffic analysis (wireshark routes, Hand-held devices, Linux kernel, Windows registry, etc.).
