My client are one of the most dynamic employers in South East Queensland. With work coming in thick and fast they have seen the need to take on an experienced Data Capture Officer. The key focus of this role is to provide effective and efficient capture and delivery of asset information for customers. Ensuring that the asset information consistently meets the units quality standards and service level agreements.
Key responsibilites will be to:
- Check, validate and enter as constructed data for contributed assets from developers as well as day labour project and contract data from Councils contractors.
- Import and integrate new infrastructure asset information and other core information into Councils business systems environment.
- Maintain infrastructure asset data so that it is consistent with legislative requirements eg. Local Government Act, Grants Commission and External Audit.
- Maintain, edit and improve spatial data on behalf of Councils custodians.
- Improve data quality by ensuring that all asset data meets minimum corporate standard.
- Maintain accurate and current spatial records for councils infrastructure assets.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate solutions for accessing and distributing spatial assets information in both electronic and hard copy format, for internal and external stakeholders and clients.
- Make recommendations and provide input to maintaining a current asset data model.
- Implement improvements to processes and methodologies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary and/or appropriate qualifications, preferably in Spatial Science or related disciplines.
- Expertise in data analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional task management skills.
- Experience with local government would be highly regarded.
