Many of us use vehicle covers today, especially during the Winter. Car covers are a great product. Protecting your Car, SUV, Truck or Recreational Vehicle will prevent fading and scratching and protect from environmental conditions such as snow and ice. They are also a great way to maintain a clean finish. Naturally what is not settling on the finish is settling on the cover itself therefore periodically cleaning to promote their own longevity is a good idea. Some environmental conditions require extra care as well. There are a few ways to go about cleaning a standard car cover. You can either machine or hand wash the cover. Always check the product label to ensure proper precautions are made. If you decide the use a machine, you will need the large capacity commercial type found at a Laundromat depending on the size of your particular cover. Use a delicate detergent such as Woolite and be sure the cycle setting is delicate. For hand washing you should wash it with diluted Woolite type soap. It is best to do this while the cover is on the vehicle. You can go about it just like you were washing the car itself. Us a large sponge and circular motion. Rinsing entirely and thoroughly. For tough stains you may try a little simple green to break down sap or bird droppings. For drying, you can leave the cover on the vehicle or line dry. Air drying is best but you can use a dryer but do not use a heat setting or the cover will shrink. For the EZ Roll Up Covers, cleaning care is a bit different as you cannot put this type in the dryer at all. I would recommend taking the cover with you to a car wash. If the vehicle is not clean, be sure to clean it before applying the EZ Roll Up Cover. Once the vehicle is dry you can cover it as you normally would. At this point you can use the high pressure washer to clean the cover while it is on your vehicle. You can then roll it up, take it home and put it back on the vehicle to dry. Remember, regular care of your cover will ensure it does it's job for a long time. Spring is upon us and it is time to refresh your cover before the sun comes out. Keeping it clean is important for longevity. For more information on vehicle covers, please visit www.EliteCarCoversOnline.com. Elin Ray Product Specialist

My cousin just purchased a brand new Lexus. I suggested he protect his investment with a car cover and he asked why as he lives in Phoenix, AZ where it is sunny almost every day of the year. If you have ever been there, especially in the heat of summer, you would understand but regardless of where you live, it is a good idea to protect the finish and consequently, the interior of you vehicle.
The average temp these days during the summer in Phoenix is about 112 degrees Fahrenheit. This kind of heat can really do a number on your vehicle. The paint will fade in time and direct sun is brutal to a vehicles surface. If bird droppings are left to bake on they can be very difficult to wash off. The environment there is awfully dusty a well and we all know what a little rain will do to a dusty vehicle. The heat and direct sun can also be hard on the interior, over time cracking can occur and any Cd's left out or in the stereo can warp or melt. You also need to be concerned about your cars upholstery, leather or otherwise, it will certainly fade in time. Fortunately these days there are quality covers available to protect the finish and interior of your vehicle. Covers that will keep the dust, bird droppings, direct sunlight as well as more severe weather from damaging your ride. They even make them for boats, ATVs and tractors along with car's, SUV's and trucks. The basic one layer covers are best for indoor, such as a garage, or light outdoor use. Two and three layer covers work for moderate to severe climates and provide good UV protection as well as protection from winter climates where snow and ice are a factor. There is also a four layer fleece lined top the line cover that is great for babying your cars finish. This type of cover is particularly popular for car collectors even when the vehicle is stored in a garage. Car covers can be purchased online. To find a dealer, search any one of the more popular search engines such as Google, Bing, Yahoo or Vista. Just search for car cover, SUV cover etc. Be sure to shop around for the best pricing. The holidays are here and there are sure to be special offers available. Some other considerations may be the shipping costs, return policies and warranty availability. You can also search for complaints on a given business name the same way you searched for the dealer. In closing, covering your vehicle will protect your investment by preventing damage that can be caused by severe climate conditions whether it be sun, dust or ice. Car covers are a smart purchase in this struggling economy. Saving money is on everyone's mind. Not only are you protecting your investment from dings, scratches and environmental damage but you are keeping it clean which means fewer trips to the car wash or detail shop.
Cars are expensive these days. I am told there was a time where you could leave the showroom floor with a new Camaro for under $4, 000. A friend of mine jut purchase one in October it was $40,000, boy have times changed. If the cost of a new car isn't bad enough, repairs are costly too and most insurance deductibles are $500. Who can afford that ? With a good car cover you can avoid finish damage by harmful fading from the sun. You can also avoid potential dings and scratches that can occur in the garage, on the street, or in a parking lot. Your interior can also suffer without a cover, the sun can fade the seats and crack the dashboard over time. Most folks think they don't need to cover their car if it is in a garage but consider how tight it usually is in there and how many items around that can scratch or ding the surface such as tools, bicycles, garbage cans etc. I recommend covering your vehicle regardless of where it is parked.
If you like the idea but want an even easier way, they now have a top cover that covers the top half of the vehicle only. This cover is great for snow removal, ice build up and interior heat reduction. It can also be used for hiding any valuables when parking for any period of time. For instance when you are at the mall or airport parking. If they can't see it, they won't want to steal it. This cover is becoming very popular. It is also a more economical choice than a full sized cover. If you are wondering which cover is right for your vehicle, here is what I would recommend. For indoor storage or a mild environment, I would recommend a two layer cover. For outdoor storage in a moderate to severe climate, a heavier duty three to four layer cover. Be sure they are UV treated to ensure the best protection. Covers can be found on the Internet or in retail automotive supply stores. You will have a better selection online. If you do decide to purchase online, please be sure to shop around for the best price. There are typically some good sales during the Holiday season. You may also want to check their return policies and warranty information. In closing, covering your ride can save money in more than one way. I wanted to take some time to write about limousine covers. Limo drivers work hard driving people to and fro. In and out of traffic, putting up with demanding clientelle, waiting for newly wed's, concerts to be over etc. They also have to maintain a clean welcoming vehicle. Keeping it covered sure would save them some time. Time they could take to relax for a bit. We sure know they deserve it. In todays world you can buy covers for just about any vehicle, car covers, truck covers, SUV covers, ATV covers, RV covers, boat covers and yes, even limousine covers. Fortunately for the hard working limousine drivers, they can purchase a cover fairly easy over the Internet. Sizes range form 22' to 32' stretch. With all this information, it begs the question, why wouldn't a limo driver want a cover for their office on wheels ? Covers today range in quality from your basic 2 laer design to 4 layer premium quality fleece lined covers. Different climates command a different cover. Whether they are located in sunny Phoenix or the streets of New York City, there is a cover available that will work. Not only will a cover preserve a clean limousine it will also protect it from the potential damages in their surrounding environment. In Phoenix, the sun and blowing dust would be the worst enemy, the suns UV rays can fade the finish and blowing dust can cause fine scratches. Don't forget the Monsoon hail which can cause dimples on the surface. In New York with harsh winters, hail, sleet, rain and ice can damage the finish over time. There is also the problem of vandals in some areas, why tempt them ? if the limousine is covered they are less likely to mess with it or try to break in for a joy ride. Before purchasing a cover, be sure to shop around for the best price. You will also want to check the warranties, return policies and shipping fee's if any. Try using one of the more popular search engines such as Google, Yahoo or Bing. All you have to do is plug in limousine cover, hit search and you will find many options to investigate.

So you have a boat. Many people do and most need to store that boat when it is not in use. Back yards, boat yards, storage facilities, next to your garage. Whichever situation applies to you, a cover can help, especially if you live in the Northern hemisphere where winter prevents usage for several month's at a time. Dust, bird droppings, tree sap, salt air and moisture not to mention the intense heat of the sun can all damage the finish, prop or interior seats and chrome finishings of your pride and joy. Snow and Ice can also take their toll, especially if the climate rises above and below freezing as we all know water expands when frozen. Don't let the environment cause unsightly blemishes to your boat. Why not purchase a boat cover ? Boat covers are available for all makes and models these days. They even have console covers and outboard motor covers. The Elite brand offers a quality product along with other manufacturers such as Budge. From Bass style fishing boats, tri hull type models, performance boats or pontoons there is a cover for your watercraft. Even skidoos and jetski's can be covered these days. Some have warranties some may not. The materials will vary as well. Most will be 100 % waterproof , they may be polyester or canvas. Some may be trailerable and some may not. Be sure to investigate and ensure you choose the correct cover for your storage location and usage needs. Most companies have return policies but returning can be a hassle and costly so it is always best to get it right the first time. Tax season is here and the refunds will be coming, your boat deserves to be protected. You deserve the convenience and protection a quality cover can provide. Covering your watercraft can help ensure longevity. Consider purchasing one today. Where to buy a boat cover you ask ? You may be able to find what you are looking for at an outdoor retail store such as Cabelas but I would reccomend buying on the Internet as you will have a wider selection. Simply do a search and shop around for the best price. Watch for sales, you might get lucky. It is wise to check warranties as well as return policies and shipping and handling fee's. Watercraft work hard for our enjoyment and can be a costly investment so ensure their longevity soon with a quality boat cover. Living in the modern world is a wonderful thing. We have so many cool things to assist our day to day lives. Showers and electricity. Cell phones and lap tops. Subways and personal transportation. When it comes to your personal transport whether it is a car, truck SUV or motorcycle, protecting it is important. They make cell phone covers and lap top covers so why not a car cover ? Your vehicle is an investment too, typically considerably more expensive at that. In today's modern world you can purchase a vehicle cover for just about any make model or type. Whether it is for your car, SUV, truck, limousine, tractor, ATV, boat or other recreational vehicle, it can be protected. Why you ask ? I say why not. Dirt, dust, rain, hail, UV rays, bird droppings, tree sap, snow and ice are all good reasons to protect your investment with a quality car cover or other vehicle cover. Dirt, dust, bird droppings and tree sap can derail your efforts of washing your vehicle. Hail can damage the finish with a dimpling effect. UV rays are the worst, they can actually fade the paint and interior surfaces of your car, especially if you live in the Southwestern portion of America such as Arizona, New Mexico and Southern California. Snow and ice are just plain time consuming. If your vehicle is covered, you can hit that snooze button a few times before getting up for work. There are many covers on the market today and some are better than others. I personally like the Elite brand. They have efficient economic choices as well as middle of the road and top of the line. Your climate should help you determine which will work best, or if you keep your vehicle in a garage. If you do a simple economy cover will suffice. This type is also appropriate for light outdoor use. If you keep your vehicle outdoors in a moderate climate a heavier duty cover would suffice, something with waterproof protection and UV treatment. If you live in a 4 season climate with heavy winters, a 4 layer cover would be best. The 4 layer cover is top of the line with a fleece lining for extra protection. This cover would work anywhere but I would strongly recommend it as the only choice if you have intense winter weather. If you live somewhere were you have high precipitation the Tyvek covers are extremely waterproof and may be the best for your needs. To purchase a cover, shop online. You'll have an excellent selection and plenty of sites to choose from. Be sure to watch for sales and also investigate the return policy's as well as shipping and handling fee's as some sites offer free shipping. You can use a search engine such as Google or Bing to locate a source. Just plug in car cover or truck cover etc. to get results on who's selling them. Do your homework and you'll find what you need for the best deal. You spend time a money maintaining your car or other vehicle, consider protecting it with a quality car cover today.
