For me I believe that social networking will not only be a fad but is here to stay.Everybody will have their own personal, community, private or company circuit in that everyone from any social website from around the world will be interconnected and interoperable somehow.

I imagine this to be in the nearest future and this is what we are going for anyways, here at Mypage.

Web 2.0 is the Web "Idiots" Shining Armour

What I meant by "Idiots" is a name I coin web users of today who own internet cafes and large businesses but does not even know how to create an email account or import emails to their desktop mail software. I still consider myself an "idiot" for that matter, to advanced programming languages and object oriented designing. Now that's my "idiot". You may have a different level of "idiot" so I believe that Web 2.0 will be the Web "Idiots" Shining Armour. Sort of a rescue recipe for those learning curves.

To be able to login into your very own portal with all the necessary software and web hardware without any knowledge of what portal even is, or html or any programming language is going to be the future of personal spaces.

Everyones' databases of sites will be interconnected or interoperable somehow and the world will truly be a smaller place to live in.

Social Networking's Essential Tools 

Essential communication app that is web oriented and interconnected or can be interconnected with all popular instant messengers.

User powered content that is feature driven and will be the bulk of social sites traffic and content.

User defined Mother startpage will be the essential startpage for all startpages, the user will define its  template design and can port any free design in a matter of minutes and can integrate other startpages content' as well.

Local dialtone will be available for sale as additional plugin to generate income for the social sites and for the community channel owner as well. With the local dialtone or local telephone number, a community user will be able to have an instant true local phone number from any location which will forward to any number the user wants.

Updating Software tool should be available too. This will enhance and greatly improve use of the site wherein the user can download the tool and update any stuff from his pc and it will be instantly reflected on the web.
