Irish low-fare airline Ryanair has said it has launched a US$950 million offer for Ireland's national airline Aer Lingus, in which it already has a near 30-percent stake.(AFP/File/Frederick Florin)AFP - Ryanair, Europe's biggest budget airline, launched a 748-million-euro offer for Irish rival Aer Lingus on Monday two years after the EU threw out a similar deal on competition grounds.
